Giving up Giving up Gaming

Okay, I tried. I really did, but I just can’t give up my gaming. I guess I really am addicted to gaming.

But is that a bad thing? It doesn’t really interfere with my life. I get my work done regardless. But still, I don’t really like the thought of being addicted to anything.

I’ll still try to go for one day without gaming, but it won’t be any time soon.

I’ll keep you posted.

Giving up Gaming for 24 Hours

I want to record here and now that I will give up gaming for 24 Hours. I will start tomorrow morning, and play no games all day, Friday November 6 (AU).

I am doing this because lately gaming has taken up too much time that I’d rather spend writing, or cleaning. I really need to clean the house, but its hard to tear myself away from Borderlands (my current gaming obsession).

So to test myself, I’m going to avoid playing any games for a period of 24 hours, and see how I go. To be honest, I tried this before, then I woke up and completely forgot. I was playing games 5 minutes after waking up. Now I’m not saying I’m addicted to gaming, but it is getting in the way of other things I’d like to do.

It’s an experiment. I’ll post my thoughts tomorrow, and then my final results the day after. If I actually make it, then next time I’ll try 2 days. I admit, I think I can go one day without gaming, but I’m not sure if I can go longer. But life would be boring if we didn’t challenge ourselves.

I’ll let you know how I go. :D
